KFRM (Krebsforschung Rhein-Main e.V.) established in 1999 is a Frankfurt-based non-profit organisation that supports scientific research in tumour immunology and the development of innovative immunotherapy approaches under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Elke Jäger at Krankenhaus Nordwest.
Our Mission
Advancing Immunotherapy Research in Frankfurt Since 1999
KFRM's mission is to support the translational cancer immunology programme led by Prof. Dr. Elke Jäger at Krankenhaus Nordwest in Frankfurt.
We support laboratory research, scientific infrastructure, and clinical research that help translate scientific discoveries into clinical applications. The tumour immunology programme at Krankenhaus Nordwest (KFRM's partner hospital) is recognised as an Oncological Centre of Excellence supported by Deutsche Krebshilfe.
Over more than two decades, KFRM has contributed to the development of personalised vaccination approaches for solid tumours and has laid the scientific foundation for next-generation cellular immunotherapies.

Prof. Dr. Elke Jäger
A leading onco-haematologist and Chair of Interdisciplinary Oncology at Goethe University Frankfurt, Prof. Dr. Jäger has spent more than 30 years advancing the field of tumour immunology, including the scientific development of personalised cancer vaccines.

Research into personalised vaccine approaches designed to induce tumour-specific immune responses in patients with advanced solid tumours under the Heilversuch regulation in Germany.

Structured exercise and recovery programmes designed to support physical wellbeing and quality of life in the context of cancer care and clinical research.
Adoptive T Cell Therapy Clinical Study
A planned investigator-initiated clinical study evaluating an optimised adoptive T-cell therapy approach building on vaccine-induced immune responses. The study focuses on patients with advanced colorectal cancer (CRC), pancreatic cancer (PDAC), head and neck cancer (HNSCC), prostate cancer, ovarian cancer, breast cancer and renal cancer.
